After reviewing the original UE Roll it earned itself the title of my favourite compact speaker. It’s the kind of versatile speaker I could use during my karaoke sessions in the shower, take away with me on holiday or use by the pool.
Earlier this year Ultimate Ears launched the new and upgraded version of the UE Roll, the UE Roll 2.
There aren’t many novelties with the Roll 2 — UE have made this speaker 15% louder and increased its Bluetooth range from 65 feet to 100 feet — and on the surface all of the design attributes look identical to the original speaker. You do get some new funky looks to choose from including the colourful Drippy design I’ve got here, created by artist Jen Stark.

In a nutshell, I just love the overall package Ultimate Ears have created with the UE Roll 2, combining a compact design, versatility and fantastic performance.
