KitVision Escape 4KW action cam: 1080p 60fps video test

As far as affordable action cams go, KitVision’s Escape 4KW is actually a really good buy. It records very good quality HD footage 1080p (at either 30 or 60 frames per second) and comes with an array of features like waterproof casing, 12MP photos and WiFi connectivity too.

Although quite ironically it doesn’t record well at 4K — it only captures a measly 10 frames per second, which consequently delivers a choppy video — it does record 1080p very well at 60 frames per second.

On my recent trip to Copenhagen, Denmark, I took the KitVision Escape 4KW to test it out properly. Check out this short video of me climbing the “Church of Our Saviour” for a glorious view of the Copenhagen skyline.

Taking into account the KitVision 4KW’s price of £150, I find the video quality on it really good. Sure, it isn’t going to be great for 4K footage (unless you intend to use it on your motorcycle helmet or a dash cam) but in 1080p it’s great value for money in my opinion.

What do you think of it? Let me know in the comments!
