These solar powered bags will keep you charged on the go

So here’s something we all have been through. You’re heading out to a meeting and you check your smartphone and/or tablet to realize you’re under 20% battery life. It’s pretty desperate knowing you don’t have much time to get things done.

There are still ways to minimize that, such as power banks, smartphone battery cases of all sorts and gadgets, but what if we forget one of those at home or forget to charge them overnight?

Solgaard Design’s collection of solar power bags is willing to be a permanent solution to that issue.

There has been a huge 500% increase in remote and mobile work since the 90’s according to Mashable, so we’re constantly in need of power for our devices. Like Adrian Solgaard, the man behind the project states: ‘All your life is basically in a bag’.

Among other handy features like an included 10,000 mAh battery (sufficient for about 3-5x smartphone charges), he also added a lock for your zipper so you don’t have to worry about getting your stuff stolen and special compartments are hidden inside to store documents, passport, etc.

His idea has gained a lot of supporters on Kickstarter. In just under six hours, the crowdfunding campaign reached its first US$20,000.00 goal. ‘A great sign that people need that product’, he adds.

Let’s hope his idea makes it to mass production so that our 20% battery life in the middle of the day becomes a not-so-pleasant memory of the past.

Would you be willing to fund this project? Would a solar powered bag make a difference in your life? Let me know down in the comments.
