iPhone Tip: How To Add Additional Fingerprints To TouchID

TouchID is one of my favourite features on the iPhone 6; it’s such an easy, reliable and fast way to unlock your device.

What many people don’t know is that you can actually use more than one finger/thumb to unlock your iPhone or iPad. Want to unlock your other hand? Here’s how you can do it.

To add your other fingers to TouchID, just follow the instructions below:

  1. Open up the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Scroll down and tap on TouchID & Passcode
  3. You’ll be asked to enter your passcode here, and once you do, go ahead to tap on Add a Fingerprint
  4. You’ll be taken through the setup process and that’s it — you’ll be able to unlock your iPhone or iPad with that finger too!
